Description
Should have harvested my Chinese leek (韮菜) earlier; now the flower wasp is feasting on the flowers (韮菜花)!
I hope you have a clear view of the wasp's Mandibles (Jaws), which are usually not visible to the naked eye.

In case you were wondering what it is,
even though the species is a wasp, they are known as Bald-Faced, White-Faced, or White-Tailed hornet.
LOL! It's all the same in Latin though Dolichovespula maculata
The good thing is that white face makes them pretty easy to ID. Yellow Jackets & Paper Wasps are much more common around here. BFHs are also a fairly large wasp, roughly the size of paper wasp, but much heftier.
Occasionally I find what's left of one or two. [link]
It's rare though.
Insects, (especially ants & wasps) are very, very efficient at the dismemberment and removal of most dead bugs.
